Hawaiian Host® Launches New Flavors of Aloha Collection
In collaboration with famed artist Kim Sielbeck, Hawaiian Host ventures beyond the traditional chocolate-covered macadamia for its latest collection.
HONOLULU, Jan. 25, 2022 – Hawaiian Host® kicks off 2022 by thinking outside of the box, literally! Its recently launched Flavors of Aloha collection is a new line of chocolate bars, which marks a distinct departure from the brand’s established product selection of boxed, chocolate- covered macadamia nuts. One thing that hasn’t changed is Hawaiian Host’s gift factor — these new bars are beautifully packaged thanks to the fun illustrations of Hawai‘i-based artist Kim Sielbeck and ready to present (or leave at home to display on your own kitchen counter).
“The Flavors of Aloha collection is colorful, whimsical, and of course, delicious! Each tablet highlights classic flavors of Hawai‘i,” shares Theresa Tuxhorn, Director of Global Marketing for Hawaiian Host and KOHO. “The artwork is inspired by scenic shots of Hawai‘i as well as classic Island icons, and we knew Kim Sielbeck was the perfect choice to make this collection come to life.”
The new line is comprised of five fun flavors: Tropical Sunrise Swirl (white chocolate with passion fruit and topped with dried mango), Island Bounty (milk chocolate topped with coconut), Pau Hana (milk chocolate topped with roasted mac nuts and crushed pretzels), Rocky Road to Paradise (milk chocolate topped with mac nuts and marshmallows), and Surfer’s Breakfast (dark chocolate topped with granola and real coffee). As mentioned earlier, each bar is packaged with its own unique design exclusively created by Sielbeck. Her boldly hued illustrations marry well with the rich and creamy chocolate bars they house. Sielbeck has also worked with multinational brands including Pepsi, Vans, Target, and Lush. Not to mention she also participated in POW!WOW! and collaborated with local establishments such as Kapolei Commons and Ward Centre.
Certainly no stranger to Hawai‘i’s picture-perfect environs, Sielbeck wanted to convey her fondness and love for the Islands via her work. She says, “When creating artwork for these chocolate bars, I looked to Hawai‘i’s natural beauty for inspiration. There is something so unique, special, and vibrant about the Islands, and I hope to share that sentiment through the designs.”
You can find Hawaiian Host’s Flavors of Aloha collection at ABC Stores, Longs Drugs, Foodland, and other Hawai‘i retail outlets.
